Opening Up Some Head Space in My Kitchen

Pantry space on the right. Behind this sheet rock wall is the washer/dryer. The door straight ahead opens into the garage.

You are looking at the space that was once the pantry. Behind these 2 x 4s is the stair well to the basement.

Now you see the window that was previously covered. Below it is the stair well. There will be eight can lights overhead.
